Be a lifesaver.
When Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) strikes, every second matters. The difference between life and death can happen in just minutes, long before first responders arrive. That’s why immediate action from nearby individuals is so critical.
The City of North Augusta’s 4 Minute Community™ Program empowers citizens with the tools and training to bridge the gap between the moment of collapse and the arrival of professional help. By creating a network of Avive Connect AED®s and trained citizens, we’re building a safer, more proactive community, ensuring that when someone needs lifesaving help, there are caring neighbors ready to respond.

About the 4 Minute Community™
Avive’s 4 Minute Community™ Program redefines how communities respond to out-of-hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). By combining widespread citizen training with the strategic placement of Avive Connect AEDs in neighborhoods and homes, the program empowers everyday people to take lifesaving action.
When an emergency take place, 911 dispatchers can instantly notify nearby volunteers and direct them to the closest AED, ensuring that a potentially lifesaving shock is delivered within four critical minutes of alert activation.
It’s a powerful, community-driven approach to saving lives, right where they happen.
