Revive Adds Dr. Maulik Majmudar to Medical Advisory Board

Updated: 2 days ago

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – (February 5, 2019) – Revive Solutions, Inc. (“Revive” or the “Company”), a leading developer of a next generation Automated External Defibrillator (“AED”) addressing the global public health issue of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (“SCA”), today announced that Dr. Maulik Majmudar has joined the Company’s Medical Advisory Board.

Known as a renowned cardiologist and "master of bringing technology into the clinic", Dr. Majmudar was hired by Amazon to help implement and massively scale new healthcare innovation. Prior to his role at Amazon, Dr. Majmudar practiced cardiology and served as the Associate Director of the Healthcare Transformation Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital - where he successfully incubated numerous healthcare technologies and had a specific focus on leveraging technology to improve the experience and value of care for both patients, providers, and the health system. He also served as a lecturer and visiting scientist at MIT, as well as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Majmudar received his M.D. from Northwestern University, completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and completed his cardiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center and Brigham & Women's Hospital.

"Dr. Majmudar is well recognized as a thought leader in the healthcare innovation community, and we are excited that he has joined our Medical Advisory Board," said Rory Beyer, CEO of Revive. "He has the unique ability to view healthcare innovation from both a clinical and entrepreneurial lens, a perspective that we value greatly at Revive. We look forward to working with Dr. Majmudar to bring our product to market, and upon commercialization, identify unique ways to implement and scale our solution across the country."

"Out of hospital cardiac arrests are still a major public health problem with a lot of room for improvement," said Dr. Maulik Majmudar. "Public access AEDs have made a tremendous difference both in the US and internationally; however, significant gaps remain in regards to universal access to AEDs, especially after-hours and in-homes. I am very excited to be joining Revive's team as an Advisor and helping them close this gap through an innovative product that has the potential to revolutionize our response to sudden cardiac arrest."
